Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 23, 2026  ·  Last Updated: June 23, 2026

At BytePos ("BytePos," "we," "us," or "our"), your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, bytepos.com (the "Site"), request a demo or quote, or otherwise interact with our services. It also describes the rights available to residents of certain U.S. states, including California. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you interact with our Site, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Information you provide directly — such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, and any details you submit when requesting a demo, a price quote, or support.
  • Information collected automatically — including IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring pages, and browsing activity on the Site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used to operate the Site, analyze usage, remember preferences, and, where applicable, support advertising (see Section 3).

Categories of Personal Information (CCPA/CPRA)

For California residents, the categories of personal information we collect are:

CategoryExamples
IdentifiersName, email, phone number, IP address
Commercial informationProducts or services you inquired about or requested
Internet/network activityBrowsing activity, interactions with the Site, cookie data
Geolocation dataApproximate location derived from your IP address
InferencesPreferences or interests inferred to personalize content (where applicable)

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government IDs, precise geolocation, or other "sensitive personal information" through this Site.

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve our Site and services.
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide demos, quotes, support, and updates.
  • Personalize your experience on the Site.
  • Analyze traffic and measure the performance of our Site.
  • Send you marketing communications you have requested or that relate to our services (you may opt out at any time — see below).
  • Detect, prevent, and address security issues, fraud, or technical problems.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not use or share your personal information for purposes incompatible with those described in this Policy without providing you notice.

3. Cookies and Third-Party Advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, analyze traffic, and provide more relevant content. Some of these are essential, while others are used for analytics or advertising.

We may allow third-party advertising partners to place cookies or similar technologies on the Site to deliver advertising that is more relevant to you across other websites and services. These partners may track your browsing behavior over time and across different sites.

Under certain U.S. state privacy laws (including California's CPRA), this use of cookies for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered "selling" or "sharing" your personal information. You have the right to opt out — see Section 6 ("Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information").

You can also control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some Site features may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers who perform functions on our behalf (hosting, email delivery, analytics, customer support, CRM).
  • Advertising partners, where applicable, for analytics and advertising purposes (see Sections 3 and 6).
  • Legal and safety recipients — to comply with law, respond to legal requests, or protect the rights, property, and safety of BytePos, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Your U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and others), you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know / access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out — opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information and of targeted advertising (see Section 6).
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
  • Right to appeal — if we decline your request, residents of certain states may appeal our decision by contacting us at the email below.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will verify your request before responding, as required by law. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.

6. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

If you are a resident of California or another state that provides this right, you may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising by:

  • Visiting our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page; or
  • Enabling a recognized opt-out preference signal, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), in your browser. We honor GPC signals as a valid opt-out request for the browser and device on which it is enabled.

You may also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) at optout.networkadvertising.org or the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) at optout.aboutads.info.

7. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no industry-standard interpretation of DNT signals, our Site does not currently respond differently to them. We do, however, honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control where required by law (see Section 6).

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it in line with the principle of data minimization.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Site and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. Data Security and International Transfers

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our services and infrastructure may be operated or hosted in, and your information may be processed in, countries other than the one in which you reside. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in [INSERT COUNTRY/REGION, e.g. the United States and/or the European Union], where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." Material changes may be communicated through additional notice where required by law.
